Description

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ¾ cup yellow mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs evenly on both sides.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the thighs skin-side down until the skin is golden and crispy.
  3. Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker, placing it skin-side up.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard, honey, brown sugar, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  5. Pour the sauce around the chicken rather than directly over the skin.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours until the chicken is tender.
  7. During the last 30 minutes, uncover the slow cooker to let the sauce thicken slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the mustard mixture overnight before cooking.
You can substitute chicken breasts for thighs if preferred, but adjust the cooking time as needed.
