Description

This Crockpot Onion Dip is a must-try! With its rich flavor from caramelized onions and creamy texture, it’s super easy to make and perfect for parties or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice each onion in half, discard the ends, and peel.
  2. Cut each half into thin strips and place them in the crockpot.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, then stir to coat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or overnight on 'keep warm'.
  5. Once cooked, mix in sour cream, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and hot sauce until combined.
  6. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  7. For serving, keep warm in the crockpot or transfer to a container and chill for at least 1 hour.

Notes

For a thicker dip, drain excess liquid from the onions after cooking.
Feel free to adjust the amount of hot sauce based on your spice preference.
Great for serving at parties or as a snack with chips and veggies.
