Description

These Easy Dr. Seuss Snacks for Kids are irresistible, featuring colorful elephant ear cookies made from pre-made dough, with an easy prep that kids love! Perfect for parties or fun snacks!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 roll (24 oz) pre-made sugar cookie dough
  • 1 tsp natural pink food coloring (beet powder mixed with water)
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar blend
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Divide the cookie dough into eight equal portions, rolling each into smooth balls.
  • Press each ball into an oval shape about ¼-inch thick.
  • Use a butter knife to carve a gentle “C” curve along one long edge of each oval.
  • In a small bowl, mix 2 teaspoons of beet powder with 1 teaspoon of water and brush lightly over the cookie surfaces.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar blend along the curved edge of the cookies.
  • Place 3-4 slivered almonds along the curved edge to resemble ear details.
  • Bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are barely golden.

Notes

Make sure the cookie dough is softened for easy rolling.
Adjust the amount of cinnamon sugar for desired sweetness.
For a fun twist, try using different colored food coloring!
