- 1 ½ tablespoons (12g) corn starch
- 3 tablespoons (15g) cocoa powder
- 2 cups (474ml) milk (whole, 2%, or nonfat)
- ½ cup (85g) chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons (28g) butter , diced
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, corn starch, and cocoa powder.
- Gradually add milk to the dry mixture while whisking to combine until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips, butter, and vanilla until melted and smooth.
- Pour the pudding into serving dishes and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
Notes
Make sure to stir constantly to avoid lumps.
For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
Top with whipped cream or shavings of chocolate for an elegant touch.
