Description
Nutter Butter Referees are a playful and delicious treat made with nutter butter cookies and colorful candy melts. These adorable cookies are easy to make and perfect for parties or as fun snacks for kids! Their charming appearance and sweet flavor make them a favorite for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 nutter butter cookies
- 3 ounces white almond bark or white candy melts
- ⅓ cup black candy melts
- 24 candy eyeballs
Instructions
- Melt the white almond bark or white candy melts as instructed on the package until smooth.
- Dip each Nutter Butter cookie halfway into the melted white candy, allowing excess to drip off. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Melt the black candy melts and pour them into a piping bag equipped with a small tip. Pipe thin stripes onto the white part of the cookie to mimic a referee's uniform.
- To attach the candy eyeballs, apply a small dab of melted candy to the back of each eyeball and press them onto the cookies. Use the black candy melts to pipe on mouths and hair to complete the look.
- Allow the cookies to rest at room temperature or chill briefly until the candy coating has hardened.
Notes
Ensure the white candy melts are melted smoothly to avoid clumps.
When piping, work carefully to maintain uniform stripes on the cookies.
These cookies can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
