Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (296 g) fresh blueberries, (or frozen)
- 2 medium lemons, (peeled, quartered)
- 2-inch piece (about 20 grams) fresh ginger root, (peeled, sliced)
- 2 tablespoons honey, (raw preferred for extra benefits)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup coconut water
Instructions
- Add the blueberries, peeled lemon quarters, ginger slices, honey, black pepper, and coconut water to a blender.
- Blend on high until smooth, about 30 to 60 seconds.
- Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, using a spoon to help push the juice through. For an extra-smooth shot, use a cheesecloth instead.
- Use a funnel to fill small glasses or shot bottles with the juice. Repeat until all juice is poured.
- Seal the bottles or cover the glasses and place them in the refrigerator to chill before enjoying.
- Give it a quick stir or shake before drinking, as natural separation may occur.
Notes
You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to taste.
For variety, try adding other fruits like strawberries or raspberries before blending.
