Description

Enjoy these delightful Air Fryer Apple Fritters with glaze—made with fresh apples and aromatic spices. Quick to prepare and perfect for a sweet treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup 2% blended cottage cheese
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon almond milk, plain, unsweetened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375℉.
  2. In a bowl, combine diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Toss to coat the apples.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, and sea salt to the apple mixture and stir well.
  4. Incorporate the blended cottage cheese, stirring with a wooden spoon or spatula until a dough begins to form. Knead with your hands to combine.
  5. Lightly flour a surface and turn the dough out. Divide it into 4 pieces.
  6. Shape the dough pieces into fritters and place them on parchment paper, flattening them slightly.
  7. Air fry the fritters at 375℉ for 4 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 4 minutes. Repeat until all fritters are cooked.
  8. To prepare the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and almond milk in a bowl until smooth.
  9. Once the fritters are cooked, dip each one into the glaze and place on a wire rack to set.
  10. Allow the glaze to firm up for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure to evenly coat the apple pieces with sugar for the best flavor.
Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your fritters for perfect doneness.
These fritters are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
