- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
- 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dry the salmon filets with a paper towel, then use a pastry brush to spread about 1/2 teaspoon of spicy brown mustard on each one. Sprinkle each filet with 1/4 of the spice mixture and allow to rest for 10 minutes before cooking.
- Place the salmon filets in the preheated air fryer, ensuring they have about an inch of space between them. Cook in batches if necessary. Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees F.
- Remove the filets from the air fryer and transfer them to a plate. Cover with aluminum foil to keep warm while finishing the remaining salmon. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
