Description

This Berry Trifle combines layers of rich whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and blueberries for a delightful treat. Its easy preparation makes it perfect for gatherings or a sweet indulgence at home.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups whipping cream
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 angel food cake (or pound cake, 10 to 12 ounces)
  • 2 pounds strawberries
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 3 tablespoons seedless strawberry jam
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or sugar)
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by whisking together the strawberry jam, lemon juice, and honey in a small bowl until well combined.
  2. In a large bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. Cut the angel food cake into cubes.
  4. Layer the cake cubes in a trifle dish, followed by layers of whipped cream, strawberries, and blueberries, repeating the layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Top with remaining whipped cream and garnish with a few whole berries for decoration.

Notes

For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of whipping cream.
Mix and match berries based on what’s in season for a fresh twist.
Prepare the layers a few hours in advance for the best flavor infusion.
