Description

This Caramel Apple Bundt Cake features a delightful blend of apples, butter, and a creamy caramel glaze, making it an irresistible treat for dessert lovers. It’s simple to prepare and perfect for gatherings or cozy evenings at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 cups diced apples, about 3 apples, peeled
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons milk, divided
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Grease and flour the bundt pan, or use baking spray, and set aside. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add softened butter and beat until crumbly. Incorporate eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and milk, beating for 3-4 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  3. In another bowl, mix diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon. Fold this mixture into the cake batter.
  4. Pour the cake mixture into the prepared bundt pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes until golden brown. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before flipping it onto a cake plate to cool completely.
  5. For the glaze, combine brown sugar, butter, and 4 tablespoons of milk in a saucepan. Heat over medium until boiling, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow to cool for 15 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, whisk the cooled mixture with powdered sugar and the remaining 2 tablespoons of milk for 2 minutes until smooth. Pour over the cooled cake and let it set for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Ensure the butter is softened for easy mixing.
Let the glaze cool slightly before pouring to prevent it from running off the cake.
Use a toothpick to check for doneness; it should come out clean from the cake.
