Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Frozen Dinner Rolls
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- ½ cup butter melted
- ⅓ cup Parmesan Cheese
- Mozzarella Cheese block cut into ½ inch pieces
Instructions
- Place frozen dinner rolls in a greased cast-iron skillet or baking dish. Cover with another pan and let rise for 1 hour at room temperature.
- Cut mozzarella block into ½-inch cubes, needing 12 cubes total, one for each roll.
- Stretch each roll around a mozzarella cube, pinching seams tightly shut, then place seam-side down in the skillet.
- Cover rolls and let rise for another 2 to 3 hours until doubled in size.
- Mix melted butter with granulated garlic and brush half over the rolls; keep the rest for after baking.
- Sprinkle ⅓ cup of Parmesan cheese over the rolls before baking, not earlier.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown tops.
- Brush remaining garlic butter over warm rolls immediately after baking.
Notes
Ensure the rolls have enough space to rise during their second rise for the best texture.
Keep the baking pan covered while the rolls rise to maintain warmth and moisture.
Adding Parmesan cheese right before baking enhances the flavor without compromising texture.
