Description

Easy Salmon Piccata is a quick, delicious meal featuring tender salmon in a zesty lemon and caper sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner, it pairs beautifully with jasmine rice and is packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds skinless salmon, cut into chunks
  • kosher salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ⅔ cup dry white wine
  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup capers, drained
  • lemon slices, for topping
  • chopped fresh parsley, for topping
  • jasmine rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon chunks with kosher salt, pepper, and garlic powder on all sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned salmon and sear for 1 to 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Once all sides are seared, pour in the dry white wine and let it reduce until about ⅓ cup remains.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, butter, capers, lemon slices, and parsley. Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Serve the salmon over jasmine rice, garnishing with extra parsley.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a full-bodied white wine.
Feel free to substitute brown rice or serve with a salad for a healthier option.
