Description

These Chocolate Chip Cookies are a simple and delicious treat that everyone will love. Made with rich chocolate, buttery goodness, and just the right amount of sweetness, they are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed butter mixture.
  5. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Drop large spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them out.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.

Notes

Ensure the butter is softened for easier creaming with the sugars.
For chewier cookies, do not overbake them. The cookies should look slightly underbaked when you remove them from the oven.
Feel free to add nuts or different kinds of chocolate chips for added flavor.
