Description

This Mint Oreo Ice Cream Dessert combines the delightful flavors of mint and chocolate with a smooth, creamy texture. It’s easy to prepare and perfect for gatherings or a special dessert craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 13.29-ounce package oreo cookies
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 quarts mint chip ice cream, softened
  • 1 12-ounce jar hot fudge topping, divided
  • 1 8-ounce tub whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/3 cup chopped andes mints

Instructions

  1. Crush all of the Oreo cookies in a food processor.
  2. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the crumbs and set them aside.
  3. Add the melted butter to the remaining crumbs and pulse to combine.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan.
  5. Scoop about half of the softened mint chip ice cream over the crust and smooth it to an even layer.
  6. Spread most of the hot fudge over the ice cream, saving a couple of tablespoons for garnishing the top.
  7. Top with the remaining mint chip ice cream and smooth out the top.
  8. Cover with foil and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
  9. Spread the whipped topping over the ice cream and garnish with the reserved fudge, crushed Oreos, and chopped Andes mints.
  10. Serve immediately or return to the freezer until ready to enjoy.

Notes

For an even richer flavor, use homemade hot fudge sauce.
You can substitute any flavor of ice cream you prefer; chocolate or vanilla works well.
Ensure the ice cream is softened for easier spreading.
