Description

  • pounds chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • 1 each chili in adobo sauce, seeds removed and minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 whole lime

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and place them in a freezer bag or between two sheets of plastic wrap.
  2. Pound the chicken using a meat tenderizer, rolling pin, or mason jar to tenderize it.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together avocado oil, lime juice, minced garlic, brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, cayenne, and minced chili in adobo sauce until well combined.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken in the freezer bag or a large mixing bowl, ensuring it coats all sides evenly.
  5. Refrigerate the chicken and let it marinate for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours for enhanced flavor.

Notes
